Turn around, don't drown

Know higher ground routes. Move valuables above likely flood levels. Never drive through flooded roads.
Flash flood timing
Flash floods can develop within minutes of heavy rain, especially in urban and burn-scar areas.
Evacuation readiness
Identify routes to higher ground before water rises. Never drive into water of unknown depth.
