Ways to read weather information, move around the site and get help.
Read the alert text
If a map is difficult to use, open Alerts and read the affected locations, times and instructions. Do not rely on a map color alone. Use the link to the official source for the complete message.
Use your keyboard
Press Tab to move forward through links and controls, or Shift+Tab to move back. Press Enter to open a link or activate a button. In a checklist, press Space to change a focused checkbox.
Make text easier to read
Use your browser’s zoom controls to increase the text size. The learning guides also have a contents list so you can jump to a section. Household plans and preparedness checklists offer print options.
Plan for alerts you can notice
This website is not your only warning source. If you need flashing lights, vibration, ASL information or other support, use the access-needs guide below to plan how you will receive warnings.
