Terms of Use
Last updated: August 7, 2026. These combined terms cover NEIMS and Vital Deploy.
Scope
These Terms apply to Vital Deploy, related public websites, public tools, account access, marketplace access, certificate verification, and services operated by New England Institute of Medicine and Science LLC under the NEIMS and Vital Deploy names.
If a separate written agreement, order form, agency agreement, institutional agreement, marketplace provider agreement, or data-processing agreement applies, that agreement controls where it conflicts with these public Terms.
Accounts and Access
You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for using the platform only through your own authorized account.
During development and pilot periods, public account creation may be invitation-only. A public account does not grant staff access, administrator permissions, agency or state organization access, or access to another organization's protected records unless separately authorized.
Marketplace, Courses, and Certificates
Marketplace listings, subscriptions, prices, and availability may change over time. When you purchase a course, you receive access to the version of that course you purchased.
You are responsible for confirming that a course is appropriate for your certification level and for your continuing-education requirements. Continuing-education (CE/CME) hours you earn on the platform are tracked for you, but recording those hours with the NREMT, a state office, an agency, or any other body remains subject to that body's own acceptance and process — purchasing or completing a course does not by itself guarantee acceptance of the credit.
Certificates and verification tools are intended to help verify issued records by code or QR target. They do not replace any license, regulatory approval, employer review, medical director decision, or other independent credentialing decision unless a separate agreement says otherwise.
Payments, Refunds, and Cancellations
Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. By completing a purchase you authorize the charge shown at checkout. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and you are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Refunds. A one-time course purchase may be refunded within 7 days of purchase, as long as you have not already claimed or earned continuing-education (CE/CME) credit for that course. Once you have claimed CE credit — for example, by completing the course and generating a certificate that awards credit — the purchase is final and non-refundable.
Course access. Access to a course version you have purchased is ongoing and does not expire; you keep access to the version you bought. New or updated versions of a course may be offered separately.
Subscriptions and auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time from your account. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not provide a prorated or partial refund for the current period, and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that period ends, subscription access stops.
Failed payments and disputes. If a payment fails, is refunded, or is reversed (including a chargeback or dispute), we may suspend or revoke the related course or subscription access.
Public Tools
Public weather, preparedness, community-notification, and awareness tools are provided for informational and operational-awareness purposes.
These tools do not replace official emergency alerts, public-safety instructions, medical advice, navigation advice, regulatory decisions, or agency standard operating procedures.
Acceptable Use
You may not misuse the services, interfere with security, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious code, scrape protected data, misrepresent your identity or authority, upload unlawful content, or use the services to handle protected records in an unauthorized way.
Public forms must not be used to submit protected health information, patient information, student records, or sensitive personnel records.
Third-Party Services
The services may rely on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, email, payments, maps, weather data, communications, support, security, and similar functions.
Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy notices, availability limits, and data-use boundaries.
Ownership and Feedback
NEIMS and its licensors retain ownership of the services, software, designs, content, logos, and related intellectual property except for content or data that belongs to users, customers, instructors, agencies, institutions, or third parties.
If you provide suggestions or feedback, we may use them to improve the services without owing compensation, while respecting confidential information and applicable agreements.
Disclaimers and Limitations
The services are provided as available and may change, pause, or be limited during development, testing, maintenance, outages, vendor issues, or security events.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NEIMS and Vital Deploy disclaim implied warranties and limit liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limits may not apply.
Changes, Suspension, and Termination
We may update these Terms as services evolve. Material changes should be posted with an updated date.
We may suspend or limit access to protect users, customers, the platform, legal compliance, certificate integrity, payment processing, or service availability.
Contact and Support
Questions about these Terms can be submitted through the Vital Deploy contact page.
For help with a purchase, a course that isn't working, a payment issue, or a certificate correction, use the signed-in support page or the public contact page and include your course and purchase date so we can assist. Where a separate customer, agency, institutional, or marketplace-provider agreement applies, its support and dispute terms control.
